Pastor Alex will be offering a nine-week prayer workshop.
It is designed to introduce you to various methods of prayer that will increase your love for Christ,
deepen your self-understanding, connect you with vital spiritual principles,
intensify your desire to become more like Jesus,
and strengthen your commitment to serve him by serving others.
This is an exceptional prayer and discipleship building opportunity. You may pre-register by leaving your name, telephone number, and email address in Pastor Susan’s mailbox in the reception or by email. A copy of the book [€10] is available at the book table.

“Life & Ministry of the Messiah”

Faith Lesson DVD series with Bible teacher and historian, Ray Vander Laan, filmed on location in  Israel . He explains the Bible in its historical, cultural, religious and geographical contexts. First meeting will be on March 20th, Thursday at 8pm at the Woodburn’s’ residence.

The Bridge group will design and lead a worship service for the
youth and young adults and participate in worship lead by Crossroads.  
The service will be on May 18
.

Are you considering membership at the American Church in Paris? We invite you to attend the next Prospective Member Orientations. During these two sessions, you will get to know more about us and what we believe in as a church. You will discover what it means to be an active member of ACP. During the first session, on April 6th, we shall explore the spiritual aspects of being a Christian and what church membership means at ACP. The second session, on April 13th explores the history of our church, and the various ways you can get involved through service. Prior to becoming a member on May 18th, you will have a chance to meet with one of our Pastors or a member of the Membership Team. We want to know more about you: your gifts and talents, and the possible ways you can become involved in ACP too. It is important to us that you have a strong sense of belonging as you practice your faith journey at ACP.

Special Meeting of the Church Membership
following the 11am worship service
The AFCU and ACP senior pastor search committees have identified the candidate of their choice.
This candidate will be preaching at all three services on March 30th, and will be available to meet and talk with people during both coffee hours. The Council is calling a special meeting on April 6th after the 11am worship service to consider extending a call to this candidate to be the next senior pastor of the American Church in Paris. A vote will be taken on this issue. All members are encouraged to prepare prayerfully for this important meeting in the life of the ACP. If you are an ACP member and not able to attend the meeting, please complete a proxy form located at the reception desk and leave it with the receptionist.

April 11th – 13th, Friday - Sunday
Bridge and Crossroads
Impact: Retreat
from 6pm Friday – 3pm Sunday
The theme will be "Unity in Christ" and there will be tons of fun time with friends old and new, games, worship, Bible Study and other good stuff. We will be joining with St. Michael's, The American Cathedral, and Hillsong youth.
 
This retreat is open to youth from 11 to 18:  no need to be ACP members, so feel free to bring friends. We will be headed to St. Prix, a retreat center located outside Paris on the RER C line. The ACP group will meet at the church on Friday for the trip to the retreat center. We will also have a group with an adult volunteer going on Saturday afternoon for those who have school on Saturday morning.
 
The cost for the full trip, including transportation and meals, is €115.  Scholarships are available so PLEASE don't let this prevent your  youth from coming with us.
 
Sign up sheets will be available on Sunday at the reception, at coffee hour, and in the youth office. More information to follow.

Annual Meeting of the Church Membership

There will be a Congregational Meeting for the purpose of electing the 2008/2009 Council members.
If you are a member of the ACP and unable to attend, please complete a proxy form and place it in the offertory plate or return it to the reception desk prior to the meeting.
