Recruitment of new Listeners

and Supporters for SOS Help

7.00 pm - ACP

SOS Help is recruiting volunteers to be trained as Listeners and/or to help the organization as Supporters.  This is a great group of people to work with

and an important outreach service; it may be just the right match for you.

SOS Help is an English language telephone help line in Paris serving people in crisis

who seek an English language listener.  The service is confidential

and anonymous, compassionate and non-judgmental.

The telephone line is staffed 365 days a year from 3PM to 11 PM.

Listeners need no prior related experience, but must be available to participate

in our training program to develop effective listening skills.

Volunteer Listeners commit to 3 4-hour sessions each month and 1 2-hour partage.

Informational recruitment meetings and initial interviews will be held on

Wednesday February 3, Thursday Feb. 11, and Tuesday Feb. 16 at 7PM at the ACP.

You only need to attend one of these sessions.  If you choose to continue with the training,

there will be a mandatory all-day training program Saturday March 20.

For further information, you can access the SOS Help website at SOSHelpline.org.

In addition, please feel free to contact

Elizabeth Rand at mailto:ehrand@gmail.com or by phoning 06 07 33 91 22.

We would love to hear from you.
