Local Missions

Remembering that our own country of residence is another "part of this world"which also needs our mission work.

Friday Mission Lunch

Each Friday, the Mission Lunch Program provides a free, cooked lunch at the host church (American Cathedral, 23 avenue George V, Paris 8e) to those in need.  ACP organizes the lunch on the second Friday of each month, but volunteers are needed every week for cooking, serving and cleaning-up. Contact: Kristie Worrel.

There will be food drive on Nov. 9 and Nov. 16, 2008.  Please contact Kristie or look for bulletin insert for needed items to bring.

Love in a Box

Love in a Box is a charitable ministry for the children of Paris and other cities in France.  There is also another site outside of the country where these boxes will also be given.  The wrapped shoebox contains various children's items which will assist a child and brighten their Christmas morning.  The list of items needed for the boxes will be in the Church bulletin on Nov. 30.  The boxes will be collected at the Love in a Box table on Dec. 7, 15 and 21 at the coffee after services.   Contact Person: Arlene Gross

SOS Help

SOS Help is an English-language telephone listening service that serves the international community in France. The SOS line is non-denominational, non-political, non-profit and non-interventionist. The aim is to provide compassionate, anonymous, confidential listening to anyone who needs to talk about any issues they are facing. ACP lay leader: Betsy Rand.

French Partnerships

In the past, ACP has partnered with organizations such as Centre d’Action Social Protestant (CASP), Mission Evangélique, Armée du Salut (Salvation Army), and L’Ordre de Malte/La Péniche. We are currently seeking Lay Leaders who would be interested in reactivating the local ministry partnerships. Working knowledge of French is required.
